The Mission of Sisters…By Choice, Inc is to significantly reduce the incidents and severity of breast cancer by delivering innovative programs that will 1) increase breast cancer awareness, education, and early detection, 2) provide treatment programs for the underserved and at-risk community members; and 3) establish a network of support group chapters that provide helpful resources, information and counsel to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer and their families.

One such program is the 'Sister Study.' Women who've had a sister with breast cancer can make a difference in the fight against the disease by joining The Sister Study. Study directors are looking for 50,000 women, ages 35-74, who have not had breast cancer themselves and who come from all walks of life. Upon being accepted in the trial, the women will complete a questionnaire and then submit a health update each year for over 10 years.
