Men and Women...We Need You!
While HR OptIn was first conceived as a conduit for women to re-enter the workforce, the flexibility of the HR OptIn approach has also proven appealing to men. What began as an idea to create an on-ramp for women who had opted out of their traditional full-time HR careers into part-time contract positions, has evolved into a thriving business that places both women and men, into both contract and permanent HR positions.
Most often, the people who joined the HR OptIn community were looking for more balance in their lives. They had either opted out and sought to work on a contract basis for some period of time, or life’s circumstances are such that they are now ready to come back in on a full time basis. Balance remains the theme. Some people like the flexibility of contract assignments. Others are seeking full-time employment, and are interested in taking on contract assignments while completing their search. Still others are ready to jump back in permanently. For Jay, one HR OptIn consultant, it was the chance to broaden his HR experience by experiencing new environments and working with a range of HR leaders and employees that was most meaningful. What we have discovered at HR OptIn is supported by a recent study by the Families and Work Institute that shows that 13 percent of men would like to trade their full-time job for part-time work. Among younger workers the trend is even more pronounced: a whopping 61 percent would trade their current employment for the chance to telecommute. Flexibility is what all people, both men and women, are seeking. Women who come to us will always find that we understand and can relate to their lives as working mothers, as people with a deep need to find balance. We're also aware that many men have a heightened awareness of the need to balance their work with the rest of life. It's not a surprise that we get calls from men wondering if only women can register to become a HR OptIn consultant. We're proud to announce that HR OptIn is for everybody. And everybody is who we are calling. If you have a Compensation and Benefits background, we want to hear from you. We are currently seeking to fill several contract and permanent positions in the area of Compensation and Benefits (from specialists to VP), HR Project Managers, and HR Generalists/Leaders in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, New York City and Raleigh.
